F-L-O-R-R-I-E, like short for Florence.

“F-L-O-R-R-I-E — like short for Florence.”

I say it often. I spell it out.
And then I tell the story — of becoming Alice Florrie, and the why behind Florri Studio.

It’s a name rooted in love.

Soft and feminine. Strong and resilient. Short and stoic.
Just like my Nanny, Florence.

I changed my name to honour someone I adored — and a relationship I aspire to.
(Thank you, Frank and Florrie, for my very high expectations.)

I’ve been told my Granddad called her the love of his life.

He was one of mine.

Taking on the matriarchal name felt right. A quiet rebellion. A bold beginning.

It’s a name woven with depth, storytelling, comfort, reclamation — and the start of a new chapter.

A thread of love, respect and hope, stitched into the work I make and the life I live.

People say I share through imagination, visuals, and a knack for curating how others see my inner world.

So yes — it’s F-L-O-R-R-I-E.
And every letter means something.
It’s part of a story.

And as for dropping the “E”?
@florri.studio was the only thing available on Instagram.

Sorry not sorry.
