This is a trick.
This is not a trick question.
What’s wrong with this photo? Quite literally, everything.
Picture this: I’m 17, taking photos on anything I can get my hands on, but my school doesn’t offer photography — so I make it up as I go along.
ISO, aperture, shutter speed you say? I have no idea what that is until I’m at least 21.
I think I’m the bee’s knees.
This photo?
Overexposed, out of focus, and the edit… a choice, to say the least.
I'm a perfectionist at heart, but more of a “try again (and again, and again) until it feels right” kinda person.
It wasn’t pretty, but it was the start and the beginning of becoming a visually driven, creatively led producer and photographer.
I look back and cringe — yes but, I also see how far I’ve come.
We all start somewhere.
It’s worth highlighting, marking and celebrating — from dodgy photoshop experiments to a visual style that finally feels like home.
I suggest you check out the rest of my website for my upgraded style.
