Ever the go-out-and-get-it type,
I dropped a message in my local filmmakers’ WhatsApp group, and five months later, I’ve worked with Alex Doe on multiple social campaigns for South Western Railways… and we’ve started a podcast.
But more on that later.
South Western Railways doesn’t just get you from A to B — they’re your regional travel expert, championing hidden gems all along the South West coast.
For a location-scouting nerd like me, it was a dream brief. I said, “No problem.” My extensive Google Pins were finally ready to take centre stage.

This is where you say, “But what did you actually do?”
Well… we ate ice cream, sampled the local restaurants, filmed in fancy hotels, and road-tripped along the coast. It was, in fact, the dream job.
In all seriousness, my speciality lies in logistics — building schedules that actually work.
Figuring out how to get from A to B with time to spare, where to park the van, when the light hits just right, and how to make “48 hours in Bournemouth” look like two days… when it was actually all shot in 12 hours.
Oh — and the photography, the modelling, the cycling, and the exploring?
That too.
