I’ve always been the organiser, the one who gets people together. The friend who knows someone who knows someone for this, that, or the other.

I’ll walk up to strangers and say “Hey.” A friend once described me as a sunflower. Another said I could make friends in an empty room.

I remember hearing someone say how hard it is to make friends as an adult.
And I remember, just as clearly, watching two kids become best mates in a matter of minutes while I was working as a family studio photographer. That’s when I realised, it really can be that easy.

I’ve never had a bad reaction to, “Do you want to be friends?”

And that’s where Gather was born, from a desire to show just how easy it can be to get to know someone new. It’s since grown into a space to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the creative souls of Frome.
A space built on community, not competition, and on our endless, beautiful variety of humans.

Not to toot my own horn but I probably know someone you should know. Or someone you could know.
